Hemp has been used for at least ten thousand years in the textile industry, on ships to make sails and ropes, and also for food, medicines, personal care products, textiles, paper, and even an alternative to plastic, construction materials. It is antibacterial and an excellent source of nutrition, as it contains proteins and healthy fats, including the essential fatty acids linoleic acid and plant-based omega-3, and numerous compounds for heart and skin health. 

Industrial hemp can contain a maximum of 0.3% THC, so it is not hallucinogenic or harmful in any way.

The hemp they use is grown without the use of pesticides and with a moderate amount of water, extremely less than, for example, the water used in cotton crops.
