Lots of toys, Santa Claus!

Lots of toys, Santa Claus!

Maria Beatrice Barberis

Research shows that fewer toys leads to better quality playtime for toddlers, allowing them to focus on one toy at a time, develop concentration skills and play more creatively. It's just past Christmas and the house is literally overrun with toys of all sorts. Having lots of toys is not so essential for children, quite the contrary. And those of us with very young children know that they prefer real objects to toys, and have much more fun when they are engaged in a real activity in the big world than pretending to do the same activity with the help of games.  By reducing the number of toys, adults could help children develop appreciation and gratitude. Fewer well-organized toys lead to a more relaxing and less stressful environment and also reduces over stimulation in children, contributing to better behaviors.Reducing the number of toys can also increase opportunities for children to develop frustration tolerance, and having to focus on one or two toys at a time can improve problem-solving skills and develop independent play experience and creativity. The best gift for children is the time we spend with them. When adults, children will especially remember the time their parents and loved ones spent with them. They will remember it better than any gift or toy they received as a present, and unfortunately they will also remember the sad moments when they were left alone when they would have liked company and closeness. Education is synonymous with sharing and moments to spend together. The best gift to share with children is really the most precious commodity that exists now in our lives and that can never come back: the time we have right now. So let's not waste it and let's use it to make our children happy. Try our eco-friendly products for mothers & children, Say Yes to Life, Earth Thanks! 🌿
