There is more to do!

Denouncing the problem of the destruction of nature is important, but it is not enough. We need to take a step forward and propose solutions. Keep repeating that there is plastic in the sea is fine, but now we need to take action. Global warming has already altered the dynamics of the oceans, generated by the formation of ice at the poles. If the ice melts, instead of forming, the currents change, with shocking effects. It is not the future, it is the present. The devastating hurricanes increase, the coral reefs die, the sea level rises, the tropical species migrate north and south, leaving the tropics in a biodiversity crisis. Non ci sono bacchette magiche. La transizione verso la sostenibilità è “cosa” bisogna fare. Ora resta da mettere in atto il “come”, e qui siamo ancora indietro. Vanno fatte accuratissime analisi costi benefici e si deve guardare lontano nel tempo. ⁠Gli oceani sono la macchina che tiene in vita il pianeta, ma i problemi che li affliggono sono generati a terra, visto che siamo animali terrestri.
