The specific theme of the 2020 edition is "Invisible Waste", all those wastes generated during the production of goods that, however, the consumer does not usually see. The campaign in this way tries to make European citizens aware of the "real weight" of their consumption choices.

The European Week for Waste Reduction represents the main and widest information and awareness campaign of European citizens about the impact of waste production on the environment.
